I do not think you're stupid, but really, really hope not purchased in that Kabbalah pseudo-led groups as the Kabbalah Center. Kabbalah is meant to be learned only after years of study of the Torah and the Talmud. It is incomprehensible without being well versed in the Judaism. If you still want to know more, Chabad has a shape that Kabbalah is a little more accessible to nonspecialists.
