shabbat

Shabbat, the blessing or annoyance? Take time to learn a little about this concept is often ignored, invest in some outstanding pieces of Judaica to enhance your experience, and sit down and experience something that can transform your life!
The most important commandment in the Torah is to observe and keep the Sabbath, on Saturday. The command first alluded to in Genesis 2:1-3 and then officially given to the Israelites in Exodus 20:8-11. The Hebrew word "Sabbath" literally means "seven", The Lord commanded Israel and all future generations to observe the Sabbath (seventh day) and keep it holy, ie, from sundown on Friday to start the sun on Saturday.
Traditionally, Jewish families who observe the Sabbath will light two candles on Friday night, shortly before the sun sets. The woman of the house will light the candles, move your hands over the candles lit three times, then cover eyes, as the b'racha (blessing), welcoming the Shabbat at home:
"Baruch ata Adonai, has melech Eloheinu-Olam, Asher b'mitzvotav l'v'tsivanu kidd'shanu ner shel Shabbat hadleek."
Blessed are you, Adonai our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us by Your commandments and commanded us to light the Sabbath lights.
Once the b'racha been said, the woman may have in the hands of their eyes and see the candles lit, and then say, "Shabbat Shalom!" This reason for this specific act, repeated in everything in the world in Jewish homes every Friday night, is often unknown by the woman who does! In Judaism, we must always say a b'racha (Blessing) before performing an action, and so, before candles are lit Shabbat b'racha must be said. However, once the b'racha has said that it is Shabbat, and not allowed to light candles as lighting a fire is considered "work." How to prevent this? The woman of the house lights the candles, cover the eyes that can not be seen, says b'racha welcome in the Sabbath and then Terra, takes his eyes to see the candles that are beautifully lit!
called challah, which is broken and eaten during the ceremony. Challah is special because it is made with an egg, flour and water well. A challah is often based on a special plate or tray and cover with a cloth challah which can come in different designs. There are two bars of challah remember that the Israelites, after they were freed from Egypt by HaShem, were fed by manna in the desert every day, but on the sixth day a double portion was given so that would not have to work towards food in the seventh.
Next are the blessings over wine and challah:
"Baruch ata Adonai, has melech Eloheinu-Olam, has p'ree-gafen borey"
Blessed art Thou, Adonai our God, King of the universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.
"Baruch ata Adonai, has melech Eloheinu-Olam ha-ha Motzi min lechem-Aretz. "
Blessed art Thou, Adonai our God, King of the Universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.
The ceremony is followed by a Shabbat meal Shabbat, which is usually a good meal with a tablecloth of Nice and the best tableware / cutlery. Also considered a "mitzvah," a blessing, be invited to Shabbat dinner.
As Shabbat ends at sundown on Saturday, on the palms and dark in the back of hands. Praise God for the separation between light and darkness, the Jewish people and other nations, and Shabbat and the other six working days a week. B'racha says a candle on a b'racha kiddush over a cup of wine, and a b'racha on a box of sweet spices spices. To conclude the ceremony of Havdalah, the candle went out in the cup of wine and everyone says, shavuah Tov! Have a good week!
